Conversational English for Pre-Intermediate level Parents Speak more fluently. Get a better grasp of the language. Gain confidence. This course is designed for slightly to moderately advanced parents (A2–B1) who understand English well and can handle everyday communication, but sometimes hesitate when speaking, search for words, or want more ease and fluency. Participants are typically mothers (fathers are very welcome too) with children from birth up to around 4 years of age. Is this course right for you? Yes, if: ▫️ you want to speak more naturally and with greater confidence ▫️ you understand English but want to become more fluent and comfortable speaking ▫️ you want to expand your vocabulary and better understand how the language works in practice ▫️ you appreciate a small group and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere ▫️ you are looking for a course that is welcoming to parents with young children What to expect Lessons are built around real conversation and working with English in a natural, meaningful context. Everyday topics turn into engaging discussions that gently encourage you to speak more and with greater confidence. In each lesson, Helena suggests one optional task and regularly shares additional materials. If you feel like working on your English between lessons, you will have plenty of ideas and inspiration to continue improving. We work in small groups (3–6 participants), so everyone has time and space to speak. Parent-friendly environment The course is baby-friendly. Children are welcome to stay with you throughout the lesson—playing, resting, or having a snack nearby. Occasional interruptions are a natural part of the classes. The course is also suitable for parents without children, as long as they are comfortable sharing the space with others and their children. Group and atmosphere We learn in a small, supportive group where no one needs to worry about making mistakes. English here is a tool for communication, not a test. About the teacher The course is led by Helena Barrera, who has a gift for turning any topic into a meaningful and enjoyable conversation. Her lessons are varied, authentic, and guided in a calm, welcoming atmosphere where students make progress naturally and with ease. Practical information ▫️ Payment: 100 CZK deposit at registration, balance paid after the first lesson; option of two instalments ▫️ Trial lesson: you can try the first lesson without commitment ▫️ Make-up lessons: with notice at least 24 hours in advance, up to two lessons per term can be made up A course that helps you move your English forward—naturally, confidently, and in rhythm with parenthood.
