At Malý kruh, you’ll learn in a friendly atmosphere – whether you’re a complete beginner or already know some Italian, and whether you come on your own or with a small child. We meet in small groups in Letná, guided by native speaker Marco Alampi.
Why learn Italian with us?
At Malý kruh, you won’t study Italian in a large anonymous group or drill textbook rules. Small groups, personal guidance and practical lessons will help you start speaking with confidence.

Courses are taught by Marco Alampi, an experienced teacher from Calabria. He makes Italian clear and natural, gently encouraging students to speak freely without worrying about mistakes.

Not sure about your level or whether the course is right for you? Come and try your first lesson with no commitment. The teacher will help you decide whether the group is a good fit.
small groups
Groups have just 3–6 students, so everyone gets plenty of time to speak. The teacher gets to know you quickly and can adapt the lessons to what you need to practise most.
Italian for real life
From the very first lessons, you work with Italian you can use while travelling, in restaurants, when shopping and in everyday conversation. Grammar is taught in context, not as a set of isolated rules.
Which Italian level should I choose?
Not sure which level is right for you? Don’t worry—we’ve made it easy to get a clear overview of our courses, including what you should already know and what you’ll learn at each stage.
Many students tend to underestimate their own skills, so you’re welcome to join your first lesson with no commitment. After that, your teacher will help you find the group that fits you best. And if you’re still unsure, feel free to try out more than one level before making your decision.
Level I
A0
Complete beginner
This course is for you if you’re just starting with Italian or only know a few words and phrases. Step by step, you’ll build a solid foundation, improve your pronunciation, learn essential vocabulary and start forming simple sentences you can use right away in everyday situations.
Level I+
A1
Elementary learner
This course is ideal if you already know some basic vocabulary and grammar but need to consolidate what you’ve learned and start using Italian more actively. You’ll build on your foundations and gain confidence in simple communication.
Step by step, you’ll learn to talk about yourself, family, work, free time and travel, and handle everyday situations more easily.
Level II
A2
Pre-intermediate
You understand the basics and get by in simple situations, but in longer conversations you may search for words or feel unsure about grammar. In this course, you’ll consolidate what you know, expand your vocabulary and speak more with the teacher’s guidance.
You’ll learn to talk about your experiences and plans in more detail, respond more naturally in everyday conversation and understand spoken Italian better.
Level II+
A2–B1
Pre-intermediate to intermediate
You can already communicate in Italian about familiar topics, but want to speak more fluently, accurately and confidently. The course gives you regular space for conversation, teacher guidance and gradual expansion of vocabulary and grammar.
You’ll learn to express your opinions, describe events in more detail and respond more spontaneously.

Our Italian teacher
Marco Alampi
Marco Alampi is a native speaker from Calabria who helps students communicate naturally and confidently in Italian. His lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to the level and pace of each group.
Vocabulary and grammar are introduced through everyday situations, conversation and familiar topics. Italian is used from the very beginning, with clear and patient explanations whenever needed. Marco also brings Italian culture, history and music into his teaching.
His lessons focus on real-life communication, helping students make fast progress and use Italian naturally in everyday situations.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy a textbook for the course?
You don’t need to buy a textbook for the course. All materials are provided by the teacher during the lessons, with additional resources recommended if you’d like to study at home.
Can I attend a parent-friendly course without a child?
Yes. Bringing a child is optional. You can attend a parent-friendly course without a child if the level and time suit you and you’re comfortable with children being present.
What if I can’t attend a class during the semester?
If you let us know in advance that you can’t attend a class, you can use up to two make-up classes within our programme by the end of the semester.
Are parent-friendly courses for children?
No. These are Italian courses for adults where you’re welcome to bring a small child. The lessons are adapted to having children present – there are toys in the room, children can move around freely, and you can attend to them whenever needed.
